Well, giving birth prematurely is one of the negative effects. When baby is born prematurely, it means it didn’t have time to develop fully. Some of the researches indicate that children born prematurely may have behavioral problems later on and suffer from ADHD ie have problems concentrating, learning, staying focused, remembering, etc
Babies may also be much smaller than they usually would.
Babies of addicted mothers often show symptoms in the first few weeks like high-pitched crying, hiccups, sneezing, difficulty breathing, muscle spasms, sweating, irritability, fever, excessive sucking, etc
Some doctors think that this is from the heroin withdrawal symptoms while others believe it is because of the immaturity of the nervous system. |
