I was watching TV last night and there was documentary about mountain biking. I stayed without word when I saw what dangerous situation these guys are facing. They were riding their bicycles on the terrain where is almost impossible to walk. They were just moving forward paying no attention to dangers which they left behind.
Also I would like to know when this sport appeared in public for the first time.
I am thinking to start riding too, after it makes great impression on me.

Hi, I believe that documentary movie was very good but you have to be very careful if you decide to imitate guys which you have seen on TV. There are many injuries behind them and many broken bones. Off course you may ride your mountain bike off the road where there is not so many dangerous situations and yet it is funny to ride.
Its name says enough about nature of this sport, it is biking with bicycles who would be able to be ridden even on the mountain paths.
Mountain biking appears about 30 years ago. It didn't look the way it looks now but it was the beginning. Bicycles were changing becoming more adequate to rough terrains and bikers were looking for worse and worse conditions to ride.
Now it is sport which is spread all over the world and mountain bikes are the most selling bikes in the world.
