Hello. I'm 40 year old female and just recently I was diagnosed with this terrible disease called Multiple sclerosis. You really can't imagine how shuttered I was when I heard about it. My mother has been diagnosed with it before she died.
Luckily, I have a husband who was always there for me when I needed him and I have all his support! So, I was just wondering is this meaning that my sex life is over- how multiple sclerosis can affect intimacy. These things are point of my interest because I've read that reaching an orgasm is almost impossible when you have MS.
Is this true?

Hello. I'm very sorry that you are diagnosed with this terrible disease. My mother has suffered from it and- believe me- I know how difficult sometimes it can get. Anyway, I have read some important stuff about MS and sexual life and listen what I've found out.
MS can affect the experience of intimacy in a variety of ways. The most common complaint is a lack of sensation or loss of sexual desire.
Women can't concentrate on sex because they are thinking all the time about the disease. MS can interfere either directly or indirectly with orgasm. Direct effect is lesions in the brain that directly interferes with having an orgasm and indirect effect are caused by sensory numbness or pain.
