My dog recently died due to a fungal, bacterial infection that he got from smelling the fumes of bird poop. he ended up going blind and deaf and then dying. we tried to save him, but he was too far gone. im not sure what the name of this disease is. but now i am starting to have some of the same symptoms. i first was getting lower abdomin aches and pains. now those pains are accompanied by gasy and bubbly noises. just begining last week i have been getting mucus in my stool. this was also followed by an almost swollen ear canal in my left ear. today i awoke today feel a stinging, burning sensation in my right eye. it almost felt as though i had got some kind of chemical in my eye. i washed it out with water but the stinging persisted. then it moved into my left eye. about three hoours ago my vision began to get a little blurred and it seemed that everything was in slow motion. my digestive tract has never been the best, but i have never had problems persist like this before, nor all at once. i am currently stressed, i am a full time college student and employee. my sleeping habbits havent been the best lately. but im not sure if it is linked to my recent habbits or if it is something that i need to take serious precautions on.

| Dear dr. about 6 months ago i got really sick with some type of flu mono like type symptoms since then i have had minor to severe abdominal pain in the left upper quadrant with some chest pain and like hot flashes and a popping in my left ear all my problems seem to be on my left side. I have been going to the doctor and they are not sure if you have any suggestions what this could be please let me know. Thank you for your time[/b] |

i think your dog had cryptococcus, it's been months since your post so i'm guessing you're okay now. the fungus is not contagious, but it is quite virulent.
