Hi, I am an athlete, runner to be precise. Last week I had a race. My calf muscle starts tightening during the race. It was so painful that I have to quit the race. I have a very important running season ahead. I must rehabilitate my muscles. Do you have any advice for me?

It can be very serious don't take it easily. First you have to test your muscles flexibility. Perhaps you are not stretching enough, or you stretch too hard. Then visit a sports massage therapist to receive a deep massage. After that start with a stretching program. Pay attention on things I have mentioned. Continue to stretch for 6 weeks.
