I don't understand. My coach hates me. I play basketball. I have excellent ball control, I am very good shooter and I have the best endurance in the whole team. But he always tells me to work on my muscle strengthening. I am not weak, but it is not enough for him. Is muscle strengthening so important?
I am not a basketball player or a coach but I know the benefits of muscle strengthening. I am sure that your coach only wants to help you. Muscle mass can only help you. You can more easily face the opponent. You will be stronger. You will be able to jump higher, and to be better in duels. When you start to exercise consult your doctor. Never hold your breath and always move slowly and with control.
