Hi, I told my boyfriend that I had herpes, and he rejected me. I hoped that he would appreciate my honesty, and that we shared something more than sexual attraction. I am very disappointed and I will think twice next time before I tell someone about it.

Hi, don’t have second thoughts about telling a partner about herpes. You did the right thing telling him, and it’s his loss that he rejected you. You could still have a safe sex with condoms, but it doesn’t matter now. However, try to understand him too. Maybe he’s afraid of getting herpes, and he doesn’t want to risk. It’s not fair that you have herpes, but that’s exactly why you should know how important it is to tell your boyfriend about it. He has the right to know, and he should have a choice. So many people suffer form sexually transmitted diseases, and we should all try to decrease that number.
