| hello i was wondering if anyone one knows how long it takes for swelling to go down.....on thursday i woke up with immense pain in testicle went to hospital checkedout all ok. but still now 4days on my left testicle is twice the size of my right one..iam 21years old can someoegiveme tips on helpin the swelling to go down? |

It depends on what had caused the swelling. If you had both pain and swelling, it could be some kind of infected within scrotum or even inguinal hernia. You didn’t say what did they do at the hospital, what did they check for, if they took urine sample and tested it, or they just felt your testicles for bumps and ruled out cancer. It is important to state what tests they did, so I would know what they ruled out.
The pain and the swelling you described resemble bacterial infection and if this is the case, you should be treated with antibiotics. After a course of antibiotics, everything should be ok. Another thing that could be causing the swelling is a hydrocele, it is a sac within scrotum filled with liquid but they are usually painless and I am not sure if they would grow so fast.
It would be best if you saw an urologist and have it checked as soon as possible because you should be sitting and home and suffering. After all, there must be a reason to the swelling and it would be wise finding it. Good luck! |
