Hi, I go to a high school and my classes are very quiet, at least until my stomach starts growling like crazy. I am so embarrassed, and I even have some nicknames, like Growly. What can I do about this?
Hi, it’s a normal thing for your stomach to growl. Growling is stomach’s way of telling you that it’s empty and that you should eat. Those sounds you hear come from the stomach walls that squeeze together in an attempt to mix and digest food. The only problem is that there’s no food! Gases and digestive juices slosh around in the empty space, and make sounds like growling. Maybe you’re always hungry when you go to the school. You should have something with you for snack. If the food is in the stomach, the walls can’t rub pass each other produce the sound.
