I was watching documentary about myopathies on TV few days ago. It was very interesting but also sad because of these people who are suffering very badly. I have noticed that there are several different types of this disorder so I would like to know if there is definition for such disease.

Hi, I was very interested about myopathies several months ago. My boyfriend's father suffered from it. This is group of diseases which have one common characteristic and that is muscle weakness, which usually results with atrophy. Causes for this disease are many. Muscle cramps, and spasms also may be part of this disorder.
