Hi, I am 26 years old male and I am suffering from myopathy. Several months ago I have noticed that my legs and arms are becoming weaker. In the first moment I thought it will pass if I took few days off on my job, but things became worse. Doctor told me that prognosis is not so good so I would like to know something about treatment of this disease.
Hi, my uncle also suffered from myopathy. He had great problems with muscle weakness and he ended in the wheel chair. As much as I know there are not some specific medications but supportive treatments which are dealing with symptoms. Physical therapy may be very useful. In some cases drug mexiletine may be helpful.
