natural remedies for rheumatoid arthritis?

I am 54 years old and I am suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for couple of years. But I am diagnosed only few months ago. I am using enbrel 25 mg two times a week. It really helps. The pain is decreased, and the joints look healthier. I had a discussion with my friend are natural remedies better then medications. He claims that they are. Why is that?

Well you are both right in a way. He is right because the conventional medicine use drugs which are very strong. Also they are immunosuppressive and they decrease the ability of immune system to react on various kinds of infections. Also natural remedies means diets, exercises, meditation and some other things and it can all be very useful. But you are right also because for the pain itself medications are the best solution.
