| So I’m really worried… ok here is my situation. I had been taking birth control (cyelessa) for about 3 months religiously, but on my third month I stopped taking the pills half through my 3rd week of active pills (there was no chance of me being pregnant at this time) on the Thursday of that week. I did this because about a week and a half earlier my boyfriend and I broke up. I still got my period as I would normally do on the pill which was on that Sunday morning after I had taken my last pill. My boyfriend and I got back together that Sunday night so I started to take the pill again the next day at about 5:30 in the evening. My period didn’t last very long only until Wednesday morning, but it became shorter when on the pill anyway. I had unprotected sex Wednesday afternoon thinking I was ok because I had started the new pack when I basically started my period and it was right after my period so I didn’t think I would ovulate then. I noticed about a week after that first time we had sex there was a little bit of blood when I went to the bathroom, but I’m pretty sure that it was just from after a day spent in bed with my boyfriend. I really didn’t think much at all about my situation until this week when I should have had my period. I’m two days late after having taken all of my active pills (21) and now on my inactive pills. I took a pregnancy test yesterday (the first day I was late… the test was Fact Plus) and it came up negative. I’m worried that it is a false negative because I didn’t use the urine sample of when I first got up, but then again I hadn’t had anything to drink that would have diluted what was tested. Also, I have had tender breasts for about a week or so and it seems like I’ve been going to the bathroom more often. However, there are really no other signs. I'm haven't had really any discharge at all and no nausea, no heightened sense of smell or constipation (I've done a lot of research prior to this post). I’m going to take the test again in about a week (woo hoo on Christmas morning. Wonderful.), but until then I was wondering if anyone could clue me in on whether or not the missed period is because I’m pregnant or because of the pill… if it’s any help prior to the pill and even when on the pill I was regular. Please, I would like any feed back except for a lecture about no having used a condom … believe me I know better now and hate myself for being so impulsive about having sex without a second form of protection.
