HI. I have lately experiencing some unusual problems for my age.
Yes I admit I had those problems when I was younger but not in a past years.
I suffer from severe nightmares. At the beginning it was only one or two times a week but now, it is happening me almost every night.
I can think of any reason for my bed dreams because I have not lived through any stress or something similar lately. ? I'm using some antidepressant drug called Effexor.
While, to other people going to bed is pleasure, for me it is torturing.
What could be the cause of this
Any advices?

Well, I don’t know a much about nightmares and possible cause of them but I know that they sometimes don’t need any emotional stress in background.
Sometimes the cause of them could be something trivial like overeating before you go to bed.
So, you should avoid this. And I forgot one thing. Some drugs are related with nightmares as possible side effects.
I did some research and I found out that the drug you are using has many side effects and one of them is nightmares.
So, you should talk with you psychiatrist and discuss possible drug change!
