| Hi, I had endometriosis removed on Oct. 30. I also had a hernia repaired and my appendix taken out. Complications with the surgery led me to have a repair of a punctured colon 1 week later. I spent 4 days in the hospital for this and was not allowed to take my birth control pills since I couldn't have anything by mouth for so long. My doctor said to just start them up again when I got my period. I had my period the week before my surgery, and have not had one again. It has now been one month after the surgery. Usually when I get off my birth control my periods come earlier. Could this just be caused by the stress of the 2 major back-to-back surgeries on my body, or could it be pregnancy or something more serious? The last time I had sex was before the surgery, and they check for pregnancy before they operate, right? Thanks! |
