Hello! After quite some time of being alone, I have entered a relationship with a beautiful man who suffers from epilepsy. He still lives with his family but is a bit separated. Last night he asked me to stay over but I kindly refused lying about some stuff I had to do in the morning. But the thing is that I am scared about the possible night seizure activity. His family is using seizure monitor which will of course be turned off. I am afraid that his attacks would happen at night and that I won’t know how to react. Please, can you give me an advice? Thank you!

Hi there! I need to tell you that you are very brave for involving yourself in such relationship. This is very hard to cope with. But, you shouldn’t be lying to this boy if you care so much about him, but tell him how you feel. He is the only one who can help you help him. You can also make contact with his family, talk to them and learn some things from them as well. It would mean so much to him, as he is probably close to them because of the illness and all. So, my advice would be not to run from it but fight it together with him. Good luck!
