Although many diuretics are prescribed for treating high blood pressure, this medicine-norvasc is not a diuretic but it is being prescribed for treating hypertension and also to treat angina.

Norvasc is a calcium channel blocker and it relaxes the blood vessels by widening them. This makes things easier for heart to push blood through the blood vessels
