I had lost weight too rapidly and was in the borderline-underweight region (not even terribly underweight at all), so I stopped getting my period. my doctor told me to gain weight and expected my period to show up. I am now at a healthy weight for my height, still on the lower healthy side, but considered healthy by BMI charts. And I still don't have my period! I don't understand why it hasn't come back even now that I am at a normal weight.

Eat more good fats like organic butter and coconut oil to get your periods back. The more you eat the better. Worked great for me!

I was in the same boat ladies for the past 5 months. I was on the pill for 7 years and after going off i never got my period. I was shocked b/c i was a healthy BMI as well (18.5) but after gaining weight, my period is back (i have a BMI of 20 now). My plan of attack was to switch to whole milk and increase my portion sizes and snack on nuts and dried fruit. Whole milk is packed with nutrients but there is a correlation between dairy fats and ovluation! Its really scary at first to put on weight but now i can't remember the last time i felt this great. My cholesterol has even gone down by 20 points.

same happened to me
im 5'10 and lost weight to a point of being 8 stone 4 or something
i gradually put on weight (about 5 or 6 pounds) and stayed at that weight for a month or two and my periods came back
best thing u can do is cut down on exercise
i seriously think that was what caused the problem with me and not the food as i did maintain quite a healthy diet :S
just hang in there, i know its the most annoying thing everrr
x
