numb burning sensation in my big toe

Hello! For the last 6 months I have been feeling this strange numbness and burning in my big toe and sometimes I wouldn’t feel my foot as well. . At first I paid no much attention but gradually it started to effect me. Any ideas what this could be! Thx!

Hello! There are a few possibilities. Do you have a diabetes maybe? Diabetes can cause this loss of sensation, particularly in the feet, then poor circulation as well, especially if you smoke. Liver and blood complications may produce numbness in your feet but they tend to affect both at the same time. What you need to do is go to a clinic and have this checked out!

this can be a result if problems in your low back such as a herniated disc pressing on a nerve. Ask your primary care doctor for an MRI of your lumbar spine
