Has anyone out there had this happen to them. numbness in the groin area after hip surgery.

i had hip surgery last week and my groin is still very numb... anyone out there had the same thing happen to them? how long until your sensation came back. this is freaking me out.

i had a hip scope three weeks ago and i have been numb in my groin and top of the foot. has this happened to anyone else? how long does the sensation take to come back?
very concerned that the sensation wont return!?!? please help

I am experiencing the same thing. I had hip surgery dur to a crushed pelvis. I'm 21 and have numbness from my left hip all the way down to my knee. My groin and directly over the pubic bone is numb. Where the breaks were and the surgery was done. It happened Oct 24, 2007 and today I still don't have sensation. (jan 7 2008) If those numb areas get hit it hurts. I feel pressure and pain but can't feel a finger being dragged across my leg. Sorry Ican't give you information regarding sensation coming back. I hope it does because it is frustrating to not feel.
