numbness in hands following conception

Since I got pregnant I putt on weight. I retain water in my body and I am often swollen. But I am mostly worried about numbness in hands which occurred right after conception. Is this normal thing in pregnancy or isn’t?

Those might be symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Numbness in the hands is caused by compression of nerves in the wrist. It is associated with weight gain and swelling that accompany pregnancy. Since you started putt on weight right after conception, numbness in the hand followed. But there is no reason for panic, it goes away after delivery.
