Hello, while I write this I am suffering from a sharp pain in my neck. Some time ago I experienced it for the first time. A few days ago I went to my doctor because of it, and it turns out that occipital nerve pain is what I experience right now. Can anyone tell me something more about this?

Hi there, my friend had a surgery because of this. I heard that some people use ice and something hot on the spot and sometimes they manage to relieve the pain. I can only tell you something about alternative surgery. It is called Jho Procedure. It lasts one to two hours and your nerve remains preserved instead of being cut. The nerve is decompressed and I heard that the results are better in some cases than those with the usual surgery. I hope that this will help you.
