fish oil supplements containing high amounts of omega 3 acids are good source of precursors for synthesis of neurotransmiters. Vitamins and minerals, herbal and homeopathic remedies, are also available to treat ADD. Some doctors support theory, that ADD is caused by Candida infection and insist on applying an antimycotic too. You may also check your childs thyroid dysfunction and chronic lead poisoning. Chelation supplements are used to remove lead. Zinc and magnesium supplementation is necessary in cases of deficiency of neurotransmiters.
