one positive pregnancy test and one negative the next day

I took a pregnacy test yesterday and it was positive...I took one in the afternoon and it was negative. I took another one this morning at it was negative....what is going on? I did take a HCG shot over 14 days ago and my fertility clinic said it is out of my system and I have had several negative tests prior to the positive. I went for a blood test today. My period is due in 4 more days. Anybody else in the same shoes????

I had this happen to me as well. I got a false positive. This extremely rare. But it does happen. It can happen if you are taking fertility treatments. But I got mine do to soap or detergent contamination. I didn't wanna pee on the stick and it said you could use a clean container. So used an old margarine container that was washed out. I got a positive on that one. I actually peed on the rest of the them and got a negative. I look it up on the internet about fault positives and soap or Detergent residue can cause a false positive. So now I use clean never used dispoible cup. Like the styrofoam kind. But a fault positive is rare but I wasn't pregnant.
