I had an abortion. In March, and the same day I got the shot. My 12 weeks are up and I'm not going back for another injection. It has been 1 week and now I'm seeing brownish blood. Could this be a period? So soon? Or could this be pregnancy? I'm soooo confused! Please help!

Brownish blood is typically menses.

When a woman suddenly goes off birth control, or when the hormones are suddenly stopped, a woman's natural hormones can go out of wack. Your lack of going back for the shot probably caused the odd menses. You most likely have nothing to worry about. However, if you start getting some pain, or if it doesn't go away, try talking to your doctor.
