Hello! Are there any ex heroin addicts around here. I have honestly decide to get off, and there at the clinic told me about this immodium AD. It is supposedly a good way to detox from heroin. I wanted to check if any of you has tried to get off this way!!!!

Hey! I am still getting off with Immodium AD. It is some kind of opiate agonist that doesn't cause a high but eases withdrawal from opiates and is actually much cheaper than methadone. Just be sure to get Immodium AD brand name. You know Immodium was a schedule III but when they figured out it wasn't abusable it was downgraded to otc status. Good luck mate!!! You are gonna need it!!!!

No offense but obviously you've
never kicked even the slightest bit. if you had, you
wouldn't be asking such a thing...it's slimply wicked and downright dangerous to try to w/o the proper meds and constant care of a physician...and handcufs and a round-the-clock babysitter. Don't put yerself thru it-just cuz its our fault we got this way, we still reserve the right to accept no physical or emotional consequences. At least yer looking to get out early! The ONLY thing Immodium does is stops u from shitting FIRE water for 6 months-oh, but be prepared to drink an entire bottle or more per day. Seek a meth clinic or detox center/specialist. And for God's sake-if u can learn to be happy w/o opim in yer systen, do it! I couldn't. I'm still trying 6 yrs later. It takes EVERYTHING-all yer $, free time, relationships, yer body is yer prison and time is yer biggest enemy. And once u like it too much, yer screwed cuz you'll never get back to b4 u knew how gr8 it makes all yer problems feel like nothing. If u wanna chat email me at chub_rock2494@yahoo.com and if i can stay awake long enuf, i'll tell u sum gr8 doctors & clinics. Krissy

PostPosted: 05/10/07 - 21:08    Post subject: I used OC's and then Heroin for 2yrs and Ive now been clean Vote now! Reply with quote

I started off using OC's then Heroin i decided i was ready to stop but the longer you use the worse it is but there is a drug that works wonders it's called Suboxone. You do not get high from it and you have no physical withraws and you don't even think about getting high they say it's very hard to stay off of opiates beacause you may get thru the physical withdrawlsl but depending on how long you used, how much, and in what way eating the pills, sniffing the pills or herion or shooting the worsed the acute withdrawls will be and now no exactly what they are talking about i stoped taking the suboxone sooner than i should have and i never wanted to do any thing bumping my arm really hurt more than it should have never in a good mood all of this are acute withdrawls that could take yrs to go away. your brain stops producing the natural opiate it has called dopamine and until it gets back to normal it really sucks thats why they say so many people relapse they get thur the 1st week but then they still feel like shit mentaly for so long they use again. Luckly i was strong enougth to hold out i did nothing for 6 months but go to work come home and sit on the couch never wanted to do anything never even wanted to talk on the phone i only did what i apsoleutly had to. Anyways if youve been using a long time and alot you really should try suboxone alot a people i know went that route and it worked for them too. It's not like methodone which i think is just replacing one drug for another and the there really isn't any physical withrawl if you were to stop taking it. Good luck to everyone.
