Hello! I decided to get off the old birth control pill I was using, because I believe they interfered with my periods causing them to be irregular, and I put on a lot of weight ( more than 10 lbs ) and try with this new one everybody is talking about – orthotricyclen. It was supposedly to help me clear my face as well. It’s been a month sine I am taking these and my face broke out. It looks really nasty and I am wondering if I should get off these as well. Any suggestions?

Hi there! You know it is said that orthotricyclen is the only BC pill which helps clear the skin. But, it happened to me as well that my face broke out in the first two months of being on the pill. I was devastated, and I went to the gyno, just to make sure I am not experiencing any side effects but she told me this brake out was ok, and that in a few months thing would get better. So, it was. It has been 6 months I am on this pill, and my face has cleared. Maybe, it was just that my body was getting used to the hormones. If you are still in doubt about this, maybe you should go to the gyno and see if these pills are right for you.
