I am 19 years old girl and I started with my sexual life. Since I have very strict parents, I am sure they will know if I visit gynecologist so I want to ask something. I would like to know if Ortho-Cyclen is good pills for birth control. Also I need some information about it, how to use it and what to take care about. My friend uses those and she is quite happy with Ortho-Cyclen.

Ortho-Cyclen is one solution to prevent unwanted pregnancy. It is recommended to visit your doctor before you start to use birth control pills. He should check some tests to see if you are healthy and ready to use it. Important is your blood pressure, if you had some diseases, asthma, epilepsy or something else. Maybe you should be monitored while you take Ortho-Cyclen pills. I will tell you mine experience with those pills because I use Orth-Cyclen for a long time, but still I would recommend you to visit your GYN as soon as you can. About taking those pills it is important that you take your pill at the same time every day. Avoid smoking cigarettes while taking birth control pills, because smoking greatly increases the risk of having heart attack, stroke, or blood clot. If you miss a dose, risk of becoming pregnant is increased. If that happens, take it as soon as you remember or take two pills at the time of your next regularly scheduled dose. Deaths are not likely to occur from an overdose of birth control pills, but anyway consult your doctor for advice.
