osteoarthritis of the neck and sinus problems

I have been diagnosed with sever osteoarthritis of my cervical spine, into the thorasic spine. This was 3 months ago. I have been having sinus problems and I feel like my throat is closing up. I've taken sinus medications, but it does not help. Could this be from the osteoarthritis?
