Hi all. I’m planning to have an otoplasty. But, for some reason, even though I know that these procedures are very safe, I’m so afraid… I can’t explain it, but even though I know that is the right thing for me to do and safe one too, I still can’t make up my mind and finally go to my doc and set a date. I, mean, in the past so many other things gone wrong for me, and I guess that I’m now afraid that the same thing could happen with otoplasty… Can anybody here tell me what should I do?? Is possible for otoplasty to go wrong?? I would really appreciate your comments. Thanks a lot for your time.

Otoplasty is one of the simplest plastic surgery procedures. I even think that was the one of the first ones that were performed on humans. Anyway, there is a slight chance that something may go wrong, but that is the risk for ANY OPERATION procedure, no matter how harmful and safe it may look. The good news for you is that only less than 1% of such procedures end up with complications of some kind. So, I think that if you need one, you should go for it, with no fear at all. Good luck.
