I am weird in fertility terms - i have spent 18 years having investigations for never ever having started my periods. Turns out i don't ovulate we thought because supposedly my hypthalmus wasn't working. In readiness for preparing myself for ivf this summer in dec i starting taking hrt and my periods started!!!! The doctors are thrilled but dont understand why as i take patches that you don't take a week off or anything. However in addition to my period on a couple of months i have had some bleeding for 12 - 48 hours on a few of the months which is very watery - could this be the wonderful ovulation that i have never had before - i think it sounds like it could be - does this mean all of a sudden i could be some kind of fertile - 18 years (am now 36) of thinking i had a major hormone disorder and now my consultant thinks - oooh actually maybe all this time i just had low hormone levels! Any thoughts??????
