painful swollen occipital gland at the hairline

I am a 21 year old female with a swollen right occipital gland at the hairline. It's about the size of a dime so it isn't too big but I was just wondering if anyone could give me any insight on what to do or maybe what is going on. It is slightly painful and gets irritated if my neck is tense from sleeping wrong (which hasn't gone well the last two days). I also noticed the bump two days ago and today the g;and behind my right ear is swollen as well. I have experienced a little drainage, probably from the sinuses, which is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I have tried to do some research on the gland and what it means when it is swollen but I haven't found too much on it. What ever you can give me would be great - Thanks!

I have a similar issue, it sounds like swollen lymph nodes due to a sinus infection or allergy...I would go to a doctor if I were you. I know I'm going to go to one.
