painful to put on condoms

My boyfriend and me have been trying to have sex. I've given him a bj and hand job so thats all fine but when we try to put the condom on for intercourse he looses his hardness. It was reli hard getting the condom on - we ended up using three of them and still didnt manage it and by that time he'd lost his erection.

He practised on his own and he said he got part way but it hurt.

Does he need a bigger size or something?

They don't seem to sell larger sized condoms in supermarkets or at boots or anything Confused
