i have taken a colon cleanser for about a month. i haven't taken it for about 3 weeks now but started experiencing lower abdominal pain. i feel like i have to move my bowels at the time but usually its only mucous that i expell. i also have tenderness in my left lower quadrant of my abdomen which is always there when palpated. i'm not sure if i should be concerned enough to see a physician or wait to see if it passes. could you please tell me what this could be according to my symptoms. i have been experiencing this for approximately 2 weeks but the mucous for only 4 days. could this be from the colon cleanser which would make me move my bowels about 3 times a day.
