I had a partial hysterectomy in July 2006. I am 43. I have a history of fibroid tumors. Had 2 c-sections. Always very hard period, heavy bleeding, heavy cramping, would occasionally miss work. The partial hysterectomy left me with my left ovary, and my cervix. The questions come because I still have the same pain where my right ovary was....still pretty severe...it makes me take 2 Aleve, and I have to take it easy. About 3 weeks ago...(it's now been almost 4 mos. since surgery) I had such pain in my LEFT ovary area, which then spread to my left side and eventually part of my back.....I ended up in hospital, catscan showed NOTHING...no insurance and several thousand dollars later...I don't know anything. As soon as insurance kicks in, about another week, I'll find a gynecologist (we just moved from MA to NC 3 mos. ago) and have an ultrasound...to see what's going on. Is it maybe some sort of pain that the body remembers? It's just weird, it feels like my bad ovary is still there. Does anyone have any kind of answers as to why? I just keep worring about why I still have pain in both areas of where my ovaries are/were.....
