This virus, that has affected your dog is not the same virus as it affects humans. Humans are affected by human parvovirus B19, the most common human variety of parvo. it is also associated with a condition, called the fifth disease. It is rash that occurs on body (face), sometimes is called a slapped cheek. this rash is usually on the face one week, nor more and can be followed by a cold like symptoms. adults may experience pain in joints. Immune system of humans easily fights the virus.
