Hello! I have some question about past alcohol use –the thing is that my brother is now prescribed lortab to release the pain he is dealing with since he injured his head on a mild car accident. the thing is that he was using too much of alcohol in the past and now he is suppose to take lortab and I am familiar with serious side effects whenever drugs are mixed with alcohol and though it is been longer than a month my brother haven't drink not even an alcohol drop I am still concerned abut his past alcohol use and lortab side effects.

Hi! there is nothing to worry about here as long as he is taking lortab as prescribed nothing serious couldn't happened to him and if it is only past alcohol use there are no chances I guess that his blood still contains some alcohol percentage that could cause him mixture with lortab and therefore no side effects are possible regarding this issue. I don't know how well you were informed about lortab use and its side effects but as long as it is taken as prescribed its serious side effects such as lortab addiction could be avoided and once more don't worry about this past alcohol use issue-the important is not to mix alcohol with lortab as with any other drug.
