penis problem with veins urgent!!

about 2 or 3 days ago i noticed tht my penis was slightly irritaed i say irriated because it wasnt sore but uncomfortable on the left side wen i moved it. wen i pulled back my foreskin to try and find the problem i noticed on the left of the penis under the head one of my veins was alot bigger to the extent tht it was dark purple. the area around the vein isnt really red or anything its just the vein itself looks like its been traumatised or blocked in sumway that it looks so pumped. it is only a thin vein and is more prominant wen i hav an erection (also slightly more painful) i can still masturbate fine but id really like to know if this is serious or how long will it last i have no idea what cud have caused it thanks.
if i wasnt clear enough on any points il try to specify
