I went to the ER twice this week for right side chest pains. Both of the doctors that I saw believe that it is muscle related. I was prescribed motrin 600mg the first time and percocet the second. Can I take them together since one is a inflammatory and the other just for pain?

It all depends on how long you take these two medicines and how much of it. You should have reported to this other doctor that you have already been prescribed Motrin! Have you done that?

Too much use of percocet and motrin may increase risks of unwanted side effects.

They shouldn’t be taken together for more than few days. I would advise you checked with one of the doctors/or any other about this combo. It is only a doctor that can help you regarding your health state.
