Hello,
I recently had surgery for advanced peridontal desease. i had the same surgery 20 years ago. I have been very consistent in seeing my dentist, every 3 months for the last 20 years. This time I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled as well as the flap surgery over my whole mouth.

I am finding recovery from this surgery very difficult. It has been ten days since the surgery and I am still in alot of pain. I am taking vicodin every four hours and am resting more than I want to. I take a muscle relaxant at night and wear a mouth guard because I grind my teeth.

It seems to me that my recovery is taking a lot longer than it should. Should I be worried about this? I am somewhat depressed because of how long it is taking and I am concerned that the pain is continuing. Tomorrow I get my sutures out. Will it get better after that?

Thank you
