Currently experiencing perimenopause, abdomen swells up during day. Makes me look pregnant. Seems to go down at night while sleeping but gets bad when I get up. Not gaining weight. Slight ache from time to time. VERY uncomfortable and worrisome. Started about 3 weeks ago.

have this and just under a year ago i had a six pack. it's very distressing and i had to research this problem and i am now learning it is not our fault. it is the fault of estrogen, too much at this time (perimenopause) and this leads to breast cancer which i had a lumpectomy in dec 06 and refused radiation, i will have a mam next mo. to check it all out. anyone out there familiar with any of this, please respond on all or any issues, thanx.

Went to the doctor and have been undergoing tests for 3 weeks. They have checked my liver, kidneys, heart, etc. and have found nothing. I have had blood work, xrays, an ultrasound. They just keep saying I have fluid in my abdomen. They put me on a med for high blood pressure/diuertic but I have seen no difference yet. I go in tomorrow for a follow up. When I mentioned perimenopause they just looked at me like I was a kook. Starting to get really frustrated.
