period/ovary pain/breastfeeding

I have been having terrible period type cramps for about 2 weeks but no period yet. My ovaries are hurting (both of them) and my lower back is painful too x 2 weeks. I am still breastfeeding my 4 1/2 month old baby and have not had my period yet. Could it be normal to cramp like I am going to have my period for 2 weeks and it never come? Is it hormonal???? Its scaring me because I dont remember this happening when I breastfed my daughter and got my period back 14 months later...I didnt cramp like this for 2 weeks without getting a period. I was on the mini pill for 3 months but I got off of it when I started to feel nausea but my husband and I always use condoms as back-up anyway. I am 35 and we are done having kids. If anyone can help regarding this cramping and back pain for 2 weeks..I would be so happy!
