Sad Gaining weight especially stomach & BACK !!! I've always been thin & at 48 I've gained 30 lbs in the last 2 years .... HELP
I can't accept people saying this is just normal!
Do progesterone creams help? Besides the same old exercise & eat balanced food what can REALLY be done ?

Thanks

This is really a tough question. For me too because I am going through the same thing. I haven’t changed my diet much but I managed to put on 20 pounds already. I have never been much of an exerciser but my doctor told me that if I don’t introduce activity into my life, the gained pounds will double. So I persuaded my husband into walking with me, every (almost) evening for at least 45 minutes and to be honest I feel much better.

We both stopped eating after 7pm and my pounds stopped piling. I am not on any sort of a diet but I have also cut down on sweats and all the sodas, and I eat bread rarely.

I have also gained weight around my hips and waist and although I haven’t lost many pounds yet, I feel I will in time if I keep up with this attitude. I have introduced a water day once a month to get rid of all the toxins that had piled in the body and it was really heard at first but now I manage throughout the day being only on water. It is said that tea without sugar can be also used but I prefer only water.
Try to cut down on stress and emotional problems because they also contribute to pilling toxins and unhealthy behaviours.
Introduce vegetables, fruits, reduce meat intake, eat fish, get read of bread and pasta and just watch for your nutrition, you don’t have to diet. Make sure you have a 30-minute activity and you will be fine. It works for me because I feel really good about myself. I haven’t tried progesterone creams and I also don’t know anybody who did.
You need to accept the changes that are going on in our bodies. Denying won’t lead you anywhere, and you will end up wandering and suffering.
I wish you good luck!

I know your post was a few years ago, but I am wondering if you have found any answers. I am 39, and I run 3-4 miles daily. Thought I'd try progesterone cream ( for several different symptoms). I used it for a month before I realized that is why my stomach ballooned up. I actually took a pregnancy test, and my husband has had a vasectomy! I gained 8 pounds in one month!

I'm just starting the cream. I've gained weight around hips, but, and stomach. I've never had a stomach, no fun. {around 5lbs in 1 month} I'm not liking this. From what I've read, the weight does't stop. Does progesterone cream really help? How much weight do you gain before you stop using it?
