I am 16 years old sexually active male. I am worried that I have contracted some STD. I have noticed pimple breakouts around my genital area. I know that I need to go to my doctor, but please, what do you think that this is?

You said it right; you need to go to your doctor. That is the only way you can be sure what is going on with you. I cannot tell you what your case is; however, I can give you some information about STD that can be helpful. I just hope that in future you will be more careful when it comes to protecting yourself from sexually transmitted diseases. Sexually transmitted diseases, also known as STDs are infectious diseases that spread from person to person though intimate contact. The younger a person starts having sex, the greater his or her chances of becoming infected with an STD, due to a fact that they are not well informed about it and too young to have sex in the first place. If they are not treated, some STDs can cause permanent damage, such as infertility and even death (HIV/AIDS). Even though there is a great chance of having an STD, I will not try to guess what it is. Instead, I want to tell you to visit your doctor immediately.
