pinkish red discharge with clumpy brown clots

I noticed that I have this dark pink/red discharge that's not very heavy, and i also noticed dark brown clots. I am a virgin, and am taking the birth control pill Cryselle for my irregular menstrual cycles. I've been on this pill for about 2 1/2 months and I am not supposed to start placebos for over a week, so it shouldn't be my period. The discharge doesn't really have a strong odor, but I did notice that it burns a little. Could it just be leftover blood from my last period, or an infection? It just worried me and I was hoping someone could help...

It's probably only spotting, which can happen when you're on the pill, but you should always check with your doc anyway
