pins and needles in left side.

I would like to discuss my problem with you. I am a karate trainer for more then ten years and I have been very good at it. I am still participating in tournaments and last time I fought I received a blow in the left wrist. I felt great pain momentarily as if someone stuck pins and needles in left side. It subdued in time, but I still feel some numbness from time to time in that area. What could that be?

I have to warn you that this might not be something treatable over night. You should check with your doctor immediately. There is really a great possibility that you have damaged your nerves along the wrist are and that could be causing that numbness you have described. Still, I believe that it is nothing that serious and that you will be back in the dojo in no time.
