Hello! My boyfriend has developed some sort of rash called Pityrias. I am not so trustworthy as I used to be and I am interested if this disease is contagious and if it could be transmitted by sexual contact? Thank you for your reply

You shouldn’t worry because Pityriasis rosea is not contagious nor sexually transmitted. The cause of this skin disease is not known but it is known that it’s not bacteria nor fungus, so you can undergo sexual activities with a person who has this disease. The rash doesn’t indicate any more serious underlying disease either and is quite common actually.
