Hello! I feel incredible pain with my intractable plantar keratosis. I am still discussing the possible treatments with my doctor and I am interested if there is anything I can do to make it less painful! Thx
Hi there! Here are the things I was recommended to do when I developed plantar keratosis. You can try using a pumice stone or emery board when you get out of the bathtub or shower to smooth the callus. It is best to do it after the shower when the skin is soft and wet. Also, a smart thing to do would be to switch to athletic shoes or shoes with a soft sole and good forefoot cushioning. You may as well put insoles to the bottom if there is room in your shoe.
