I use ortho tricyclen. I missed one of my dark blue pills so i took it the next day on top of the pill for that day. i had sex the night i missed the pill. a few days latter i started spotting 5 days before my period was due. should i be wooried?

From the Ortho Tricyclen information packet that comes with the pills:

"If you miss 1 gray, light blue, or blue "active" pill:

1. Take it as soon as you remember. Take the next pill at your regular time. This means you may take 2 pills in one day.

2. You do not need to use a back up method if you have sex"

Missing any pills does increase your risk.
According to the pill manufacturer, you should be okay though.
