i have undergone laroscopic surgery for endometriosis on 3rd feb.2006 followed by luperide depo injection on 21st day of the same cycle.Dr. started fsh and hmg injections from 1st march followed by natural contact.(IUI)was not possible for my personal reasons).I have not got my periods yet(my normal cycle was of 30 days before surgery). HPT(done thrice)is negative.Has something went wrong with me?forget about conception,i m not getting my periods.................

Hi there! It is quite possible that you are not getting periods because you are on Lupron/Luperide. It can interfere with menstrual cycle, making them irregular. A woman who is on the shot may experience changes in her menstrual pattern. They can become heavier but also lighter and you may even miss your periods. However, missing periods doesn’t mean that you are not ovulating.
I don’t know if I misunderstood your intentions but are you trying to get pregnant?
As far as I know (my sister has endometriosis), Lupron is dangerous regarding pregnancy and you have to avoid becoming pregnant even a couple of months after stopping this hormonal therapy. Lupron belongs to an X pregnancy category, which means it is not safe to be taken during pregnancy because it causes birth defects. Additional contraceptive should be used during the treatment.
